A Different Kind of Truth is the twelfth and final studio album by American rock band Van Halen and their first album of studio material with their former lead singer since their 1984 album.

Seven of the album's 13 songs are musically re-worked and lyrically re-written songs that had been demoed in the late-1970s/early 1980s, but never officially released. The album debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 and has been certified Gold.
